In our Champagne room the sparkling wine making process of Hungary can be seen through photographs and demonstrated by period bottles, delivery letters and documents.

The first Hungarian champagne was made in 1825. By the time Hubert Champagne factory had been founded  in Bratislava. Subsequently, more and more champagne factory was set up for example in Pécs, in Budafok.

Törley József the excellent business man, is regarded as the emblematic figure of Hungarian champagne making process. The Törley champagne factory, he founded in 1882 in Budafok, is still the most determinative winery of our country.

Initially, the champagne consumption was spreaded only in the circles of the aristocracy, but also of civil tables appeared more frequently, finally  it became popular drink of festive occasions.
